Vivác Refosco

Acquired at a chain store in the region. Saturated translucent purple. Aromas of black fruit, menthol/tobacco, and herbs. Plums and black fruits on the palate with big acidity and grippy tannins. Long finish. This conjugation of a varietal common in northeastern Italy with high-elevation New Mexico winemaking works with similarly cross-cultural combinations of pasta and meat/chiles.
