Big juice here. Candy nose but the fruit is a little more serious. Still quite the party wine and easy going (and remains good drinking at the age).

Very very similar to the September tasting. Might be a touch darker and more serious but essentially clean juicy nero. Must be low cost, at least back in the homeland, and holding well at 5yrs.

Light early with raspberry fruits but gets tighter and darker. Some minerals and acids late. Some life yet. Almost like a super souped up rose.

Another amazing auction but at just under $5. Medium weight with light zin-like fruit cake and juice. Really pleasant and simple. No real drive and length but ok given price and age.

Another v. good quaffer. Good floral nose. Lean, Medium bodied wine with some tannic backbone to give it some structure. Red fruits - cherries, berries. Finishes with an earthy savoury note. Far better than expected. An enjoyable Nero

pretty close to a 90 for me - while it has a little tanginess, i like the body and the pleasant finish i am partial to italians, and esp to nero d'avola, but there are many i would not reorder this one is excellent and highly recommend

A gift from my wife to go with the BBQ salmon and BBQ bell peppers I cooked on the grill. 100% Nero D'Avola and a 100% Red Wine listed on the back of the bottle, which I know nothing about. Nose of black cherry fruit that needed coaxing to find, more of the same on the palate, simple, easy drinking, inky, juicy, and mouth filling, medium body, and medium/long finish that left ash on the aftertaste.

Tart cherry and raspberry with a touch of pepper. Really nice, easy drinking wine. Great QPR.

Our local retailer gave this a great recommendation, so we tried a bottle, and are glad we did. We decanted over night and even left some for a third day. What I really like is a certain amount of briny, earthy, tannic funk behind the fresh bing cherry fruit. Super dark color. The nose is brined olives, violets and crushed cherries. Cherries and minerals across the palate. Fruit forward but still soil and earth driven. Considerable tannins. More cherries with …

Impulse purchase at grocery store for $13. Loved it. Bright fruit, good acidity, well balanced and a smoky, leathery quality that I really enjoyed. Great QPR. If you are looking for a wine to complement food, this is it.

Good cheapie. Pure cherry fruit and fruit forward. Add to that a bit of herbalness. Decent acidity. Lacks a bit of structure and modest length, but very fresh and pleasant. A good midweek kinda wine and at <15 a steal. Day 4 nubuck leather, very medicinal. Length. Again missing a bit of structure, but a steal.
