Chateau de Rochemorin, Blanc, Pessac-Leognan

89-91 Punkte. Sehr schöner Duft, viel Würze, Granny Smith, weisse Blüten; knackiger Gaumen, cremige Textur, feingliedrig, elegant, salin, sehr gute Länge. (En Primeur Tasting April 2024)

Conservé dans un cellier depuis son achat, le vin m’a agréablement surpris par son niveau de complexité et sa fraîcheur. Un très beau bordeaux blanc, représentatif de son appellation, qui pourra encore se garder quelques années si conservé dans de bonne condition.

Nice wine. Pretty color - straw to peach. This a “Bordeaux blanc”. The bottle label says it is 100% Sauvignon. It does taste like the Grenache Blanc from further south. In any event, its really nice with lots of things including cheese, mushrooms, fish and salads.

God blommig doft med en smak av bitterhet. bättre till mat men troligt gått över tiden. Mycket gott sommaren 2017 till mat.

Deep golden yellow. Typical SB aromas with some lemony hints. Quite alcoholic, but drinks nicely after some time in the glass with subtle acidity, lots of herbal notes and melon aroma.

This one seemed flawed to me, but it wasn't corked, maybe cooked.

Tasted blind. Medium golden yellow. The nose is clean, medium in intensity, with white flower, ripe lemon and French oak-induced vanilla, nutmeg and sweet spice aromas. The palate is dry, soft, with medium acid and medium (+) to high alcohol (14%). The palate is rich, with melon and bitter lemon zest. Medium (+) to full-bodied, with a medium (+) finish. Drink now as it is not likely to improve with further aging. Many tasters thought this was a New World, …

SB qualities but at the same time more rounded and full. Delicious.

Green, grassy, herbal flavors with a bit of tropical and melon to balance it out. If you like New Zealand Sauv Blanc, you'll probably like this.

Dark golden yellow. Elegant fresh scent of apricot and roasted oak, black currant leaves, gooseberry, butter. Rich with middle acidity, gooseberries and citrus. Overall I think it needs a couple of more years.

Very pale On the nose: black currant leafs, vanilla, cat pee, gooseberry and some buttery touch. On the palate: white pepper, nettles, gooseberry, herbs, green jar asparagus, wooden plank. medium finish

This wine has developed very nicly regarding its sharp oak. Now its very well intergrated. And are soft but maling carater. Very pleasant smell of pinapple and mature sitrus. But the taste is more mature rich sitrusfruit. A little short in the aftertaste. But it was great match to naturell coked crabmeat with majo. A Nice Bordeaux.

Deep yellow color, with green hues. Fresh nose. Nicely integrated oak, leading to a great balance. Not very complex but very good. Robe or profonde, avec des touches verdâtres. nez frais. Bois bien intégré, supportant un bel équilibre. Pas très complexe mais très bon.
