Wine Society History Makers Tasting. Brief Notes: Quite a delicate nose - a touch of tropical fruit. Gains power on the plate, lovely ripeness of fruit with ginger, pineapple, apricots and baked apples. Real intensity of flavour. Great value for £15.

Floral, honey, fruits, good acidity, medium body and alcohol. Good with pineapple.

A ‘surprise’ find in the cellar. I left this too long, as it was still drinkable, but quite faded. Copper in colour, just off dry now, lots of botrytis still, a hint of creaminess, and still in balance. The intensity had diminished considerably, however. Drink up ASAP (B/B+).

Didn't take notes, but this was a very interesting and different sweet wine. This is getting on in years, and the copper/brown colour reflected that, but it was still a vibrant, fascinating wine that balanced its sweet fruit and acidity well. This was from a 375 bottle, and I have a 750 of this left, and will get to it fairly soon (A-).

Floral nose; white peach, pineapple, acidity, honey on palate, overall light and refreshing despite its syrupy density.

Mid gold; candied fruit, pineapplle; medium sweet, marked acidity, tight. Lacks length. May well improve.

Served at a friend's house, where they offered grappa glasses (I think they were grappa glasses)-- which limited the ability to swirl the wine. Nose seemed restrained but nonetheless an interesting mix of floral and honey elements. Palate was quite different early, mid-palate, and finish. Early, it seemed to be light and flower petals, with white peach; mid-palate the wine seemed to "expand" into creamy texture and honeyed richness; finish lingered with honey and acidity. I am sure the floral …

So nice and clean and complex. Much more interesting than many other stickies I have tried. A nice, medium body with delicate tropical fruits and some mild spice and oak to take you to the long, elegant and sweet finish.
