Pretty typical Syrah. Blackberries and cedar on the nose, baking spices and some dark fruit on the palate. This wine has strikingly high acidity along with its moderately high alcohol content. Its tannins are very well integrated now at six years, which I think makes it a great pairing with rich meat sauces.

Washington State Day 2 (Seattle/Woodinville) : Tasted blind against the Spilya. Very well integrated. Cherry, plum, white pepper, blueberries and subtle spice. Fruit is the main event here. Medium finish. $30.00
