Samsara Pinot Noir Rita's Crown Vineyard

pnp. light like a pinot, but amazing complexity on the nose and the palate. cherry cordial, sucrets lozenges, pickle juice?, some ember. the flavor profile is arresting. tannic yet bouncy. floral but loads of red fruit. i am enthralled. this is 93-95 points for me. it held up beautifully to a charcoal grilled steak, and continues to impress with every single sip. WOW

Heady, spicey, somewhat astringent red. Missing some of the cherry notes characteristic of many Grenache wines. Wine has a decent structure with a good, medium finish. Mouth feel of tart nectarines.

Aroma: watermelon candy and citrus. Palate: light-bodied melon flavors with spice and herbal notes. Moderate to high acidity. Moderate tannin and structure. Curiously atypical.
