It has been almost 2 years since having a bottle of this particular wine, so it was nice to check in on it and see how it has developed. This was enjoyed with pizza and was a wonderful experience, not surprised at that fact, as Silvaner is incredibly food friendly. Beautifully fine and elegant, this was exceptionally mineral and herbaceous. Enough acid and cut to deal with the fatty cheese of the pizza and so fresh and delicious to make …

Very nice. Crisp and linear. A touch harder on the apple fruits than I normally like.

It’s been about 2 months since my last bottle of this wine and I had similarly great experience. It started out with high acidity with notes of bright lemons, but with air and once paired with food it all came together beautifully. Delicious notes of pears, rainier cherries, and candied lemon complicated wonderfully with notes of smokey herbs, dark minerality, a touch of spice, and hint of ash. This paired incredibly well with the scampi sauce on the pasta enjoyed …

First of all, I just need to say that this is an absolutely fantastic bottle of Sylvaner and a great QPR. It was completely delicious and though it started out with the story being all about the palate, it opened up and showed a prettiness that really made this so fun to drink. It opened with some notes of tart citrus that evolved into sweet and tangy tangerines and kumquats. This was so mineral and saline. It had that wonderful …

This is similar to previous vintages: Lemon citrus on the nose and strong grapefruit, lemon, and lime citrus on the palate, with something green on the medium finish - maybe gooseberry. This was an excellent value at under $30.

Continuing my exploration into the world of Franken wines and those by the very talented Paul Weltner. Im also trying to broaden my knowledge of Scheurebe, as my experience is almost completely limited to the gems made by Keller and Muller-Catoir. This was clearly young with a lot to it. Initial notes of lemon zest started to soften into rounder citrus tones of Meyer lemon and sweet grapefruit. A distinct herbal note and vein of minerality added complexity to this …

Grapefruit on the nose. On the palate, grapefruit, lime, apple, and notes of pineapple and lychee on the medium finish, with strong acidity. This was an excellent value at a little over $30.

Pale lemon core with strong green reflections. Clear. Baby aspirin and grapefruit candy on the nose. Dry, with crisp, impeccably balanced acidity and very slight petillance. Loads of esters on the palate, mirroring the nose: grapefruit, Meyer lemon, with always that hint of baby aspirin on the finish, giving an illusion of sweetness (although the wine is completely dry). I wish it were easier to find Scheurebe in this country. In the right hands, it really sings and this …
