- Brick color with medium forming legs and aromas of tea, tobacco and cherry. It's balanced and has flavours of cherry and fig with a medium/full body. Round texture with a long finish - Decanted three hours. Slight orange cocoa note on the nose. Tannins are softening, wine is ready now (with decant) but can still age too. Rich leather and spice box nose.

Dark but not black in the glass. Some brown reflexes show the age. Smell is fruity and the taste is round and well balanced. A great wine with potential for another 5 years.

This was a nice experience compared to other vintages and it is ready to drink now. Good fruit and power with mellow but present tannins and a long smooth finish. Recommended with your summer bbq.

Despite the consumption date, no fooling on this one! Similar notes to last time, although tannins have mellowed further. This is in a good drinking window right now and while it could last another year or two (or more) it seems ready to me.

Much better than expected. PnP and then let sit in my glass for an hour. Leather, dried orange peel, cherry and the silky mouthfeel some other notes have referred to. Tasted like it was peaking, so I'd drink now.

Well, this was a pleasant surprise... Vinituri helps. Plum, black cherry fruit goes a bit red with time. Nice acidity. Heavy silk mouth feel. This is one of those bottles I enjoyed more because I came into it expecting less. 90-91. $26.98 Killer price helps too.

The wine looks orange colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The body is light/medium. The wine has juicy texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Liked this much more the second time around. Starting to show some brownish hues. Nose alternates between cinnamon. spice, berry or earth nose, depending upon the sampling time. Nice acidity mid palate, reduced tannins, decent length finish. From Dad's cellar.

Popped and poured. Very nice, medium bodied Brunello. Tannins had definitely softened on this. Some hints of strawberry and currants. Somewhat light in color, but that did not deter from the enjoyment on this one. Have one more bottle left and won't hesitate to open it soon. Good stuff.

I like this style of BdM on occasion. Soft, sweet and modern with candied cherry and licorice notes. No hard edges and good to go now.

Clear, medium garnet colour. Clean, fully developed nose. Med intensity with aromas of dark red cherries, crushed flowers, wild herbs & oak. Minerals & smoke appear too after a while. Soft but elegant nose. Dry, med+ acidity, med+ tannins, med+ alcohol, med body. Med+ flavour intensity with flavours of cherries, roses, oak, leather & pepper. Some earthy notes too. Med finish. Very good. Fades away rather quickly though. Drink now, will not improve any more.

Very aromatic, floral, molasses, with dusty musty earch element; very fine in the mouth, fine tannins, silky, elegant, dust, berries, cherry, cracked brick; tangy long finish.

What I like about this Brunellos is that the lightness and "otherness" of the wines that stands at odds against the new world glop fest we are used to these days. This one has a food friendly feel to it - you can see yourself eating a nice pasta dish with this wine in a provincial Italian town and reflecting back and saying it was a wonderful meal just because all the parts slotted together. A wine that complements rather …

wonderful garned red colour, nice fruity and floral nose, red berries and spice, however too much aggressive acid on the palate, and lacks tannins to be the kind of high quality brunello, I prefer..maybe better within some years

beautifully transparent, orange-red, pretty aromas of red berry, fresh sod and flowers, light to medium but packed with flavors of cranberries, red currants, stone and mineral, the minerality really shines and carries the finish, balanced, earthy, delicious, food-friendly, had with roast beef, this is distinctly Italian, traditional in style and special
