92/93. Has wonderful multi dimensional aromas of blueberries, orphites and schist+chalk, mint and blackberries really come on. Its medium bodied linear yet plumpish orphite +schist infused palate has lovely depth, freshness, layering and vigour. Ends very long, fresh and still grippy. 13.5%. Can be drunk now with Axoa de Veau and Ossau Iraty cheese or laid down another 5 years to see if it will develop further. Needs 7-8 hrs aeration, before it is super tannic, unknit and a tad …

Has improved. Has wonderful ophite, chalk and iron infused minty, leathery blueberries, cassis and spice. Its rustic medium bodied refreshing decently oaked blue and red fruits palate ends mediumish, fresh and a bit gripping. Needs 7-8 hrs aeration. Drink now or lay down 5-10 years. 13.5%

This has typically minerally blue fruits, iron, chalk, blackberries, cassis and coffee. Its medium bodied longilinear muscled and solid chalky irony, coffee'd blue, red fruits palate has good acidity. Ends mediumish and a bit rustic. Rounds out after 4 hrs aeration. 13.5%. Very characterful as always!

i saw previous commens about this being too young, that was not my experience. Perhaps I am drinking too many young wines and can no longer spot underage wines? Anyway, this was a perfect match to hangar steaks with olives and red wine, a rich dish that needs something bold. Tannins are present but well integrated, fruit likewise, there is a savoury fennel element. Medium bodied, great acidity, I think this will live for a long time but is an …

After four hours aeration this elongated and became a longilinear, relatively elegant freshly and blue fruited Irouleguy with good minerality, nice oak and a gripping finish.

Took three hours to open out. At the beginning was inelegant, over tannic and borderline undrinkable. After aeration had dusty earthy aromas of irony, ferrous minerals, blackcurrants, blueberries, menthol, coffee and spice, Its medium bodied powerful and solid palate has got great density, a lovely black and blue fruited irony minerally middle. Ends medium long with highish acidity with some rasping dry tannin. Definitely not mainstream but good in the end. Not for the impatient.

Characterful, rustic and unready. Aromas of earth, menthol, minerals blackberries, raspberries, coffee hints and spice. Its longilinear stark medium bodied austere palate is very Irouleguy with good concentration and a fullish lightly oaked middle. It ends with liquoricey hints on the medium long freshly fruited and medium aggressive finish. Downgraded due to astringency.
