Gut Oggau, Winifred, Weinland

Tasting yet another rose from Gut Oggau family. Made from 50/50 blend of Blaufrankisch and Zweigelt, spontaneous fermentation with native yeast, aged for 8 months in large used oak barrels, not fined or filtered, no sulfites added. Pale pink, salmon hue. Intense funky complex aroma of barnyard, cherries, strawberries, leather, bruised apple cider, rose petals, raw meat hints. Medium body, fresh and lively, yet smooth & elegant with saline, mineral stony and chalky fruity flavours, yeasty hints, medium+ acidity.
