Nose fairly subdued, but with notes of jammy black currants. The palate is still on jammy fruits, with a mouth-filling texture but medium body, with little tannic structure, but rather a mouth-watering acid-driven finish the lingers on notes of pepper. A great drinker, nice with food.

Nose of black fruit, coffee. Not as vibrant as the 2007, less fruit forward, more animal or earthy, but great with coffee notes, blueberry and some mineral flavours on the palate. Medium bodied and good structure. Might improve with time. 88+

J'ai adoré les 3 bouteilles de 2009 que j'ai bu au cours de 4 ou 5 derniers mois. Robe: violet foncé Nez: fèves de café torréfiées et baies noires Bouche: belle longueur, beaucoup de corps, des tannins déjà bien intégrés et on retrouve en bouche ce que le nez a perçu. Toute proportion gardée, c'est la plus belle réussite de Bizeul, ses autres cuvées ( plus chères) ne m'ont pas procurées un plaisir équivalent.

Interesting wine considering its price. It leaves some "artificial" feeling after an hour opened, but it has a surprising nose with notes of coffee, cocoa, blueberry, some mineral hints and even what I would call "gunpowder" aromas. On the palate is OK, initially with more acidity than desirable which vanishes after some time, redcurrant, plum, coffee notes, medium structure and good finish. It´s not impressive at all, but anyway it´s worth the try for its price.

Bacon and blood on the nose with a tiny black fruit aroma in the background. The initial palate is all black fruits, but it transitions quickly to meatier elements, finishing on very alluring spices and pepper. Great drink right now, can it last another 3-5 years ?

Impression différente du 2008, toujours bien charpenté, un peu épicé, aux fruits noirs expressifs. Il s'ouvre peu à peu en une journée, évolue vers un nez plus lardé, assez animal, ce qui étonne pour un vin si jeune. Conclusion, il se déguste très bien aujourd'hui.
