Strawberry and cherry blossom

Same exact notes as 08/06/2016. Nice on a hot day. Serve as cold as possible. Good strawberry fruit, if not a little thin.

California Tastings - mixed : Served from magnum. A nice enough drink. Light strawberry and citrus notes. Not overly complex or layered in any way that I could discern. A little thin, even for a rose. Pleasant as a palate cleanser.

An excellent and refreshing summer wine, very sippable in the heat we've had here lately in Northern California. Only 13% alcohol. My first sip gave a hint of plum, but quickly behind it emerged strawberry, kiwi, cherry and pear. Winemaker Nancy Walker’s online notes say to look for guava-pineapple, key-lime and pomegranate, too. The wine is made from 60% Carignange, 20% Zinfandel, 10% Syrah and 10% Petit Sirah.
