Retains classic Syrah notes, in spite of Moroccan origins - the Graillot sensibility and restrained approach is clearly present here. Blackberry, tea, olives, black pepper, almond. Palate has just enough acid to balance and support the rich and ripe fruit. More fruit and herbal character here. Tannins still there. Well made. Speaks of Syrah and place.

I don't find this to be particularly expressive or interesting. Smells like syrah but on the palate it feels a bit watered down and thin. Wasn't really sure what to expect here but I guess this is not it. Definitely an interesting story and has the Graillot name attached to it so there's that. Seems to be priced appropriately.

** (or better--upgraded!) (See my previous note) An interesting and very integrated flavor, hard to find the words to describe it, though there is a meaty note. Long and nicely balanced. Reminiscent of a northern Rhône Syrah, even though it's from Morocco.
