Thick, rich wine. Best to drink on the cool side. Black cherry, high-toned violet, talc, & balsam notes, nice length and a dynamite finish. This still has so much sweet fruit, that it showed a lot more balance on the second day. I could call it a poor-man's Valdicava, but I'd rather praise the effort and dedication that this winery puts into their standard bottling. A perfect match to wild boar & mushroom ragu & fantastic with a nice hunk …

Need to decant this wine. Funky nose when first opened, but this blew off in 10 or 15 minutes. Color is ruby red, and very clear as it pours. I get raspberry and raisin on the nose, which I remember from before. Drank this with Colby-Jack cheese, which was very good. Body was medium, but something lost in the finish. Might be on the downhill side, but still a very enjoyable wine.

A good, solid Sangiovese. A Lot of body compared to most. Rich currants and berries. Delicious!

Nose of ripe blackberries and lots of oak. The palate was also very oaky and slightly sweet. Medium body.

One of our favorites. 95 out of the bottle, 97 after decanting for 4 hours. Liked the 2002 a bit better.

Too fruity. Reminded me of something that you would put on French toast.

Consumed with Karen & Doug with a Yukon Jack Glazed Pork Loin. Stellar selection. While a bit over whelming considering the meal, it tasted as deep and fruitful as it did in Napa!

chewy fruit fun to drink and always dependable when you need something just a little bit special. Drank it after the McPrice Myers 2003 Grenache and it held it's own. I really love this wine.

Clear with a deep cherry color as it pours from the bottle. Tight at first with no real fruit in the nose. Raisin, cherry and raspberry. After 10 minutes in the glass I could sense it was starting to open. Next time I would decant to see if things moved a little faster. Very enjoyable all on its own. Medium body with a finish that seems to die off, but in my opinion an excellent wine. After two days, this …

Fruity, more in the sweet side, and yet full bodied. Very easy and pleasant to drink.

This one was over the top fruity. Nothing to write home about but nothing wrong with it, just not enough depth, tannins, and too sweet.

I got this wine for $9 a bottle and I love it. Its jammy fruit with alot of smoke but not overdone at all. Everyone I have given this to loves it. It goes great with red pasta.

Very fruity and identifiable as Sangiovese. Slight alcohol on the finish. At 15.4% if the alcohol is barely detectible the wine is in decent balance. Not overly complex and ready to drink. Good value on this wine under $18.

Transparent ruby red color. Dark cherries on the nose but you can also smell the alcohol. (15.4%) Fruit forward taste with a slightly oaky finish but the alcohol comes through just a bit here too. However, it is a good bargain at $12.

Nice little fruity Sangiovese, maybe too fruity for many. Goes well with flavorful Italian food. Reminded me of the Sangiovese from Cosentino.

This is different animal than what I usually like. Very sweet, young, but quite drinkable. I don't think this is a cellar wine. It's one to enjoy now, with friends that like to get together with wine but aren't really serious wine drinkers. It has been a big hit with numerous friends of mine that like the fruity, less dry style of wine...the kind of friends that look at you funny when they hear that you decant nice wines before …
