Cabot Vineyards Marier Tributary

What a cool wine. Juicy, vibrant, savory, with delicious red and black fruits. Lots of dusty earth, savory spices, black pepper, smoked meats, and mineral vibes. Really opens up well over time. Aging well and I'd like to revisit in another three or four years.

What a fantastic wine over the last two evenings. It is amazingly aromatic, has depth of flavor, wonderful acidity, and was just plain special. If Zinfandel was made in the Northern Rhone, it would smell and taste like this. Fantastic, and a great qpr.

Here is what John Cabot had to say -The 2016 Tributary sourced entirely from Marier vineyard. Its a blend of 80% Zinfandel, 10% Syrah, and 10% Viognier all fermented together in a 1.5 ton fermenter. Dark red fruits are dense and structured, with nice spice and a lingering finish. This was aged in three year old French oak for 22 months and bottle unfined and unfiltered. 92 cases produced
