Renieri's 2019 Grido is comprised entirely of Merlot. Popped, poured and serially tasted over a three-hour interval, it fully opens after the first hour to reveal an attractive bouquet of dessicated cherries, blueberries, anise, graphite and mint. Medium-to-full-bodied, nicely lifted, proportionately oaked and without obtrusive alcohol (14.5%), it supports comparable flavors with medium-weight, rustic tannins.
