Wittmann, Grauer Burgunder, Rheinhessen

Nose: Smoke, "oily" notes, peach. Taste & palate: Medium to medium light body, nice citrus freshness balanced by a nice bitter touch, minerals, smoke (a hint of peated malt whisky) and a slightly oily finish. Pure, clean and well made young wine which should have potential for further development (2016-18?). An interesting wine with a good price to quality ratio.

Weekly tasting group #111; A fully blind test with two whites as a starter. (@ AH) : Yellow tropical fruits, minerals, white fruits like peach, honey, tart citrus. Juicy and also some bitterness. Ok, not really special.
