Decanted 3+ hours. Earth, cola, coffee and big red fruit. A whole lot going on with this wine but brought together in a long, velvety finish. Drinking exceptionally well right now. Still has time in the bottle but this wine is flat out delicious.

This had big flavors of earth, plum, dark berry fruit, spice and distinctive dry tannins. There is a wonderful lip smacking finish.

Exploring the Walla Walla Valley; 5/24/2013-5/27/2013 (Walla Walla, WA) : Lots of aromas wafting out of the glass--tobacco, black fruit, baking spices. Primarily marionberry flavors with lots of oak. Long finish.

January in Walla Walla; 1/25/2013-1/27/2013 (Walla Walla, WA) : Nose of mixed red and dark fruit. Lots of structure. As with the 2010 Merlot, the flavor experience is red fruit driven with oak notes. Lots of structure and a long finish. Significant tannin experience that I imagine will abate with age.

Red cherry, pie cherry, plum, vanilla with a tannic structure. It could use a few years.
