Colour: dark plum red Nose: plum, black cherry, blackcurrant. Blueberry. Mulberry jam on toast. Charred oak, hint of coffee bean, vanilla. Rich, dark. Palate: lots of rich, black fruit. Plum, cherry, blackcurrant. Maybe blueberry. Charred oak. Sweet spice. Black tea. Fresh berry-like acidity; moderate, smooth, but slightly firm tannins, slightly drying. Moderate to full bodied, 13% alcohol. Seal: screwcap.
