Caves Réunies du Couvent des Cordeliers Volnay

Another bottle directly from the Couvent, this was my 5th consecutive great bottle. So much mature red fruit with spice and floral notes that is so prototypically and charmingly Volnay. Richness and density that I could never expect from mere Village wine. An absolute charmer.

Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner with Musicians (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune) : Sweet and mature red fruit with earth and spice hints. So Volnay. Once again far outperforms what we should expect from Villages Volnay that is nearly 50 yo.

Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner with Musicians (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune) : Fully mature red cherry with floral notes from the very end of summer. Great spice. Slightly sweet hints throughout, this is so engaging.

Dinner at Villa Saunières (Saunières France) : Much like the bottle from few days ago, lots of candied red cherry with sweet spice. Today's bottle possibly showing more earth, less concentration.

Musique & Vin Festival BYO Dinner with Musicians (1243 Bourgogne Society - Beaune) : Small glass, brief note. Candied red cherry with slightly sweet spice from its evolution. Good+ weight for its level at this age.
