Ashley Herzberg Petite Sirah

Very dark, almost black in color, dark fruit, anise and some barnyard aroma. Palate was warm, with plum, some acidity and moderate tannins.

Wonderfully opaque, almost black. Mild nose. Mildly sharp tannic on the front palate. Abundance of juicy red fruits join mid palate. Finish is quite acidic, overly so and limits the wine's overall quality. Pretty good start though for a new wine, lots of promise.
