Dusky ruby. A steady pretty elegant perfume of strawberries in a wooden box, and faint and deep a touch of tar. Being admittedly partial to the home team (CA) Pinots it's immediately French to me, meaning far lighter in the mouth, less obvious fruit and with some barnyard. Starting to go down. Was way better 4 years ago. This was the weakest of my four bottles so far. Drink up.

Transparent light red color. Absolutely incredible nose with floral notes of roses, strawberries, bright red berries, wild strawberries and raspberries. This is real burgundian finesse, with brilliant acidity. Sitting fairly long. Absolutely gorgeous burgundy. 92
