So I bought a cellar; 11/12/2022-12/31/2030 : Cork came out intact using an ah so. Immediate red fruit fragrance once pulled. Red/purple in the glass, sight bricking. Nose of raspberry, strawberry, other red fruit and a hint of alcohol. On the palate - fruit driven, but not overwhelming. Still decent tannins. Definitely some fresh summer strawberries on the palate. I like the bay leaf bitter finish note a previous reviewer said. That is certainly there. Tasty.

Drinking great in 2018 after clearing for 6 years. Loads of pepper and strawberry on the nose. Cherry. Bay leaf bitter finish. Long finish, goes on for 30 seconds. Long legs. Full bodied. Smooth tannins. Low acidity

Medium red color. Medium intensity nose, of raspberry fruit, brambles and chocolate. On arrival, low tannin and low-medium acidity. Easy drinking and delicious, nothing for much talk. Bottle #10 of twelve.

Deep ruby. Briar, sage, spice and leather nose. Medium bodied, cranberries, pepper, bing cherries, smooth tannins, smoke, and a sweet/dry finish. Really excellent, especially for the price point (under $15).

Medium red-violet color. Medium intensity raspberry and blackberry nose, with vanilla sugar, cocoa, chaparral. On arrival, medium-low tannin and medium acidity. Easy drinking and big fruit, with some mixed herbs. The body matched well to spaghetti squash marinara, with brown mushrooms. Bottle #6 of twelve.

Medium dark red-violet. Chilled slightly prior to service; ambient temperature on the patio for dinner for 84F. Big aromas of zin-berry (thank you, Doug Nalle) for this winery, a touch of oak spice, molasses, hint of chocolate. On arrival, low tannin and low-medium acidity. Quite a mouthful of raspberry and red cherry, unsweet and lightly tart, with some brushy herbs, and a molasses background. Easy finish, consumed with grilled mushrooms, chicken and pea paella. Bottle #5 of twelve.

I guess its decent for $15, but it has flaws. Nose is oaky, jumbled midpalate leaves you trying to clean your tongue on the roof of your mouth. Tannins are abrasive.

Medium red-violet color. Sweet raspberry leads in the nose, with some dill, vanilla, black pepper. On arrival, medium-low tannin and medium-low acidity make for easy drinking and a silky palate. Ripe and not overripe fruit in the mouth are main event, with some herbs in there too. I love this old fashioned style that reminds me of what is also delivered in most examples of Doug Nalle's basic bottling and Fred Scherrer's Shale Terrace zins. Simply terrific zinfandel, intense and …

Ruby/violet color. Briary notes of blackberries, black raspberries, vanilla, and spices. Warm, peppery, briary palate gains mass appeal, building up depth, complexity, and flavors with each passing moment in the glass. Firm, focused finish. Attractive. Give it air.

Blackberries with a little pepper, this wine seemed a little tight at first and seemed to reveal its layers of complexity over time. For my next bottle I think I will try decanting it.

Had over a couple of nights. Pretty standard modern model with overt oak, plenty of fruit, soft tannins. May have been a bit better the second night, showing more spice. BBQ wine.

Dark but subtle raspberry and blackberry on the mouth with a hint of pepper and cinnamon spice. This is a very nicely made zin for $15. Even better on day 2.

Medium red-violet. Slight vanillan from American oak complements the otherwise straightforward nose of black raspberry, mixed herbs, and white pepper. Low-ish tannin and medium acidity provide lift to the arrival. In the mouth, elements from the nose repeat with added cinnamon spice. Fruity, not sweet. Ideal for use as our regular house red and priced ($14.39) for stealing. Bottle #1 of twelve.

Deep redish purple hue. Cedary nose at first, mellowing to reveal briary, pruny flavors with modest tanins and some spice on the finish. Wishing for a little more depth, spine, and interest. 83-86.

Reddish Purple. Zin nose of tangy purple jammy fruits. Simple and not too much fruit on the first sip. Mid paller it dry and astringent and this has a fairly long finish with Tar and tabacco.

Medium body sonoma zin. Not overly jammy, but decent fruit. The finish has some dustiness, and falls a bit short.

Cherry cola and red fruit on the nose Simple Fruity followed some tight tannins and a hint of pepper OK with just a hint of light zin flavor.
