Getting ready after 3 hours decanting, promises of bright future, would love to have it blind against left bank Bordeaux.

At its peak of development was silky and supple with good varietal leafy notes and ever so supple.

Quite an elegant, concentrated and also fresh Cabernet Franc from one of the best vineyards in Bourgeuil. Crisp and juicy dark fruit, flowers, crushed stone and a hint of butter fudge in the nose. Concentration and creaminess, elegant tanninstructure and a young acidity on the palate with layered red and dark fruit and a vivid minerality. It’s rich but very pure and precise.

Beautiful nose of stone fruit, cassis, and florals with a beautiful leafiness. Mid plus weighted and beautifully balanced with terrific textural depth coupled with a sense of lightness and grace. More savory leafy and bitter chocolate add to the beautiful fruit and chalky background. Finishes long with firm but ripe tannins. This is a wonderfully balanced wine with a bright future. Terrific. After around 4 hours, it became really floral. Became more focused and deep. A nice contrast of delicious, …

Bright and spicy nose, cowshed. Palate is surprisingly elegant and refreshing with very dry Barolo like tannins covering all the back end of the mouth. I guess that´s a Cabarnet Franc character coming from the stems. Persistent and with good structure. I like it very much and I am sure it will improve with further aging. Organic farming since 2000.

dark and densely colored with thin rims. nose gives pencil shavings, bell pepper, cassis, dark cherry fruit, and trace tobacco. moderate acidity, medium bodied. lots of mineral on the palate with dark cherry, blackberry, and a solid tannic back bone. seems to be on the cusp of turning to secondary notes. still needs time.

Five winos excellent adventure , mostly in Burgundy; 6/7/2019-6/15/2019 (Beaune, France) : Expressive nose displaying rich and luxurious black fruit, blackberry, a hint of raspberry, perfume, rose, milk chocolate, light caramel, cedar and limestone. Excellent concentration, beautifully layered rich black and red fruit, silky and sensual, warm and round, beautifully detailed, medium acidity, strong mineral and a long rich black fruit driven finish. The rich yet precise style reminds me Clos Rougeard Les Poyeux but perhaps even more interesting for …

Blinds before MH's advanced exam (Home (Noe st)) : Slight new oak apparently but I didn't notice it. Really good - richer style. Clean, pyrazines and black fruit. Finishes a bit tart and lean, but great aromatics and midpalate. Rich.

WTF Blind Tasting (Roswell, GA) : Dark core with bright maroon rim; oak is fairly strong on this, violets, perfumed, tree bark, clove in the back; juicy dark berry, good fruit, juicy, high acid, some grip, tobacco; solid, needs much more time.
