That was a big, big bottle! Brick-like in color, still vibrant with dark cherry it served as a great accompaniment to the turkey celebration.

Hmmm...not sure what to think of this wine. It is all chocolate with a distinct underbrush/green note from the what I am assuming is a pretty heavy stem inclusion. That being said, all I taste is chocolate and underbrush with a little bit of sweet blackberry pie. Almost at first reminded me of a Cabernet on 100% Darnajou oak barrels....not my favorite Pinot.

Melisse for our anniversary. Contrary to others, I found it with some great black cherry fruit on opening. Strong, almost Oregon-ish nose. The 15.4% alcohol content creates a little heat at first that mellows through dinner. Good enough that I would like to try some other bottlings from BC.

An extreme wine, this offers both exquisitely supple fruit and an intensity that makes it hard to drink. It smells like candied cherries and jam. The fruit is elegantly textured but so very dense, imparting an offputting sense of sweetness. Every drop of the staggering 15.4 % alcohol shows when the wine is sipped with dinner.
