Perfectly mature. This has to be at least Spaetlese level ripeness. Nanda's descriptors seem more or less right to me, though I didn't find much petrol, but I certainly found lots and lots of orange peel. This should drink well for the forseeable future. A pleasant surprise.

German Riesling and Spicy Thai (Spoon Thai - Chicago, IL) : Brilliant golden color. Gorgeous and layered aromas of petrol, orange rind, dried pineapple, pears and caramel. Full-bodied, spicy white fruits. Precise with acid lifting the fruit into a long finish. Fruit is surprising ripe and vibrant for a 11+ year old Kabinett. Very nice. (5+13+17+7)
