Wrath Pinot Noir Cortada Alta Vineyard

The highest elevation vineyard in all of SLH. I really liked this PN; and I see it as an argument for Monterey to be taken seriously as a wine region. Overall I was impressed by the great structure and intensity. Ripe black cherry, ripe raspberry, dried leaves/forest floor, cabbage, dried thyme and black pepper on the nose. $29.79 Excellent ! Very pinot color, smell, flavor, aftertaste. The aftertaste is the best part - like fireworks!

Fantastic Pinot with lots of spice and cedar. There is also a nice minerality (wet stones) that’s a little unique to this Pinot. Length and complexity are way above average. The wine maker at Wrath definitely has a particular style, of which I am a big fan.
