Tasted at The Wine Society UK's Australia Growers tasting. A wonderful opportunity to try this chardonnay at 8 years after the vintage. Not overly oaked, but enough to enable it to keep well. Slightly dusty appearance. Good. Enjoyed.

Didn’t pair with our meal so I am not a fan. Tasting alone - typical Chard. Not a gold medal wine - good silver so should be in the 80’s

Like too many recent wines, no contemporaneous notes. But I liked it, more than the high 80's I see others give it. High 80's to me means it's OK. I found this more than OK.

Western Australia Wine Tasting (Australia House, Strand, London) : The nose shows oak, flinty and floral notes, the palate shows more oak and roasted nuts, citrus fruit, med to high acidity, medium to full body, med to long finish.

We don't get much opportunity to taste the wines of Margaret River. This outpost of mankind looks so wonderful in the pictures and seems like heaven for grape growing. This Chardonnay is not blowsy, creamy and buttery. The nose and the palate even show a bit of Sauvignon Blanc type grassiness. It handily displays the cornucopia of fruit flavors from orchard and citrus we expect from good chardonnay. Almost full bodied. Refined and smooth, if not terrifically concentrated. There is …

Tres boise au nez et en bouche - mais on s y fait, belle texture, suffisamment de fraicheur en finale

Very nice nose and palate, but as I am a Burgundy fan I always compare all oaked whites to those. And this has some exotic notes that cloy the impression. Although, for the money this is a steal.

Simple fruit profile but enjoyable nonetheless. Apples and stone fruit approaching ripeness with some vibrant acidity make it quite food friendly. I felt the oak was perhaps a little intrusive but it will mellow out and achieve better balance in the next 5-7 years.

A visit to Margaret River; 12/17/2016-1/1/2017 (Margaret River) : During a cellar door visit and lunch at the winery. Nice wine but a big step off from the outstanding Heytesbury. Nose with lime, touch o fgrass. light and fresh on the palate.
