Spettacolare. Concentrato, spezia, piccoli frutti neri e rossi. Nocciolo compatto e intenso. Tostatura integrata e piacevole. Cacao, caffè. Un ponte tra Toscana e Rodano. Goduria pura che non dimostra i suoi anni.

Dark, almost black dull color with some maturity. Deep relatively fresh fruit with hints of red berries. Some maturity. Good acidity and dark red berries. Hints of leather, licorice and mineral. Surprisingly healthy and good!

A delicious surprise. Funky nose. Plenty of dark black and red fruit left. Earthy goodness.

This bottle was excellent. Earthy, minerally, dark fruit, and a nice long finish. Great savoury aromas too.

This was good, although it didn't scream "Syrah" to me. Berries, some earth, maybe a touch of peppercorn, and mint.

Interesting nose but simple on the palate. Still has some fruit left but probably past its prime.

from 2xmagnum. Surprisingly still youthful, both in color and in taste, with tannins still there and somehow astringent in the mouth. Ripe red fruit and some cigar box emerging minute after minute in the decanter. However this Bosco does not take off as expected, following my tastings of the same vintage. Enjoyable but not memorable. In a pre-Christmas dinner with 8 around the table

Wonderful syrah from the low lands of Tuscany. Cork broken but no consequence for the wine. An explosion of perfumes at the nose, and a superb taste. Liquorice, pencil, spices, gentle oak and leather. Redberries, blackberries. Juicy. Outstanding and powerful. Maybe it is at its apogee but not so sure. In a sweet summer evening on the Alps, at LT paired with a unparalleled T-bone "chianina" steak

great syrah (much better than 2003 by the way) still close to ita apogeee. Oak, leather, pencil, dark chocolate and a bit of liquorice. Very long aftertaste. If the "Bosco" tastes like this I wonder what "Migliara" is. Will discover soon.

Wine Spectator School: Super Tuscans (Plymouth, MN) : Tasted Blind. This wine opened with an slight offputting musty odor which took 2 hours to blow off, developing aromatic complexity as the mustiness decreased. After it did, moderately intense aromas of earth, black pepper, and dark fruits were present in this wine of moderate tannins and relatively low acidity. Quite powerful flavors lead to an amazingly long finish which just wouldn't quit. Still significant tannins showing, but they didn't seem out …

Big purple one with lots of blue fruit and spices....fairly high alcohol but not hot.....great mouth coating flavors with some cinnamon and cloves in the back and long and persistent finish but with almost no pepper. I wish that I had with some food as it would have complimented a big meat perfectly. I have been following Alessandro for some years now and it's better with each vintage. I think I was to hard on this because recent vintages keep …

Opened up nicely with time in the glass. Soft fruit, balanced and integrated. Concentrated and with some structure, medium finish. I don't usually sit on the "90 fence" but not sure this will be memorable. Nonetheless, while I don't have any other Italian Syrah with which to make comparison, this is very nicely done.

The colour and the palate suggest a very young wine. No brick and still substantial tannins. Bright dark red and blue fruits, wood and meat persistent finish. I would try it again in three to five years.

Big syrah (!) from region near Cortona. ...deep deep purple, super fruit presence up front, plums, cassis, deep purple..long finish, continues to evolve and gain some complexity and depth; showed great early on but went into a dumb phase but is now singing...note lot variation, others continue to be disappointed with this producer and vintage but I think there is a providence issue, some of this must have sat on the shipping dock in Chicago, but not what i bought …

ottimo vino , al naso si presenta con complessita' e persistenza, spiccano sentori di frutta matura in particolare la mora e la ciliegia. In bocca e' molto equilibrato , morbido e caldo.

Popped and poured. Pretty nose of blueberry reduction and licorice. Similar flavors on the palate with good concentration and a nice silky mouthfeel. Overall the fruit was a hair on the sweet side for my tastes and there was a touch of heat on the finish. Almost there, but a little overdone.

pop n pour. Profound nose of stewed plums, wet earth, dust and dark cherry. This will definitely benefit from a 1 hour decant. A full bodied wine with exceptional balance and acidity. The tannins are big and firm, yet fine grained. I think this is in its sweet-spot right now, with a dark core of lush fruit and just a touch of rusticity. A sturdy frame with deft integration and a 30+ second finish. This wine begs for the proper …

Nice nose of smoke, leather and a bit of blackberry. On the palate nice fruit that is neither heavy or too sweet with just the right amount of acidity. Very enjoyable drink.
