PnP, but would benefit from a quick decant. In it's prime drinking window and should hold here for several years. A very nice blend of 63% grenache + 37% syrah. A medium plus palate showing an abundance of dark red and blue fruits, a good dose of earth, and some oak, all wrapped in wonderfully balanced acidity, and nicely integrated tannins. Beautiful wine. 3 hour decant and it opened up very nicely. Perfect with filet mignon. Dark cherries, smoke, vanilla, chocolate and oak. All blended nicely for rich taste and smooth finish.

Toasty. Big oak. Not hot, but big. Agnostic on whether or not this much oak was the best option for this fruit. Open to the idea that is is. Good big oaky wine now. Could see this as being good in a few years as well. Will never shed the oak, but also very good and maybe it takes some very good fruit and some good oak to enable a good wine at this strength. #complicated

So very young. This needs YEARS to come together. Blue and blackberry pie, red violet and rose, toasty oak (still splintery right now). Oak tannins and some beautiful acidity. Monster wine!

She's a fine bottle of juice that needs to stretch her legs. Opened and first impressions was awkward phased - but after 2 hours, very nice integration of fruit. Syrah seems a bit hidden in the mix of things. Not a soft footprint in any way - big grenache fruit. Early heat gave way to a smooth, lush finish.

63/37 Grenache/Syrah. Made from the Big Basin estate and the Coastview vineyard in Monterrey. A lot of power for CA Grenache, but then there's the sweet pepper there too. Tannins back it up. This is pretty much what you'd expect from the blend. Rhone-esque but with New World panache.

Big Basin In The OC--Dinner With Bradley Brown (My House) : Using for our dinner tonight....an impression here from the double decant I just put on the wine. Shows garrigue and herb in the aromatic.
