Had a dark coloring when opened with a hint of cherry red on the rim. A rich nose of blackberry and cassis which faded after about 30 min. While smooth, it became somewhat one dimensional.

Concentrated fruit with not much of a mid-palate but still has some nice tannins.

Fresh and blackberry aromas. Standard Sonoma and nice for it.

A little tannin. A little acid. Not much fruit. One dimension and a short finish.

Six from Safeway (Private home in Arlington, Virginia) : The nose gives off an almost sweet fruit expression but it is unmistakably Cabernet Sauvignon, which I guessed. Spicy oak notes as well as sweet red fruits on the nose could certainly please lovers of this style, but the palate disappoints insofar as the finish is like sucking on a plank of oak. No thanks. Readers should take note that this producer makes better wines from higher priced brands, as I …

14.5% alcohol; agglomerate cork (granules & dust, bonded with solvents), medium weight foil; fast legs, dark ruby red; nose of alcohol, mint, trace of sweet peppermint; vinturied and tasted at room temperature (24 degrees C), medium to full bodied, not especially fruit forward, more of a metallic or stone base, with a sweet component staying separate and operating, unexpectly, on the sides of the tongue; the components of the wine don't work well together, the whole thing is 'mislungen' (goes …

Blackberry, Chocolate and Oak are prominent here. Straight Forward and fine for the table. But not one to explore the depth.

I picked this bottle up at a grocery store while traveling---It was nicer than anticipated. Smooth with mild tannins. Oaky, with cherry and spice. It was enjoyable.

Not a fan. Acidic. Not smooth. Going to take a pass in the future. It did open up substantially and mellowed out but literally 2 hours.

Robust up front, there's black currants, wintergreen, vanilla, cocoa, and spices on a bed of sweet oak. Rich and full bodied, with adequate amounts of depth and complexity. There's plenty to like her.

Dark cedar and oak notes lead with red fruit following. Smooth in the mouth its a very pleasant wine. Some tannins, it s meant for near term drinking. A nice house wine for 12$. I like the 2014 better, this is still nice.

Dark and mildly oaky, it has a modest level of varietal intensity. The cherry, cassis, black pepper notes are there but not at the intensity of the color (mega red?). This wine has some elevation but it is still quite young and assertive. It overpowered the veal saltimbocca but not the pasta side dish. A nice safe above average restaurant Cabernet that will work with a steak or something robust.

Fresh nose, cinnamon, red fruits; Decent enough fruit, though with a bit of a rough edge to it. Good acidity and soft tannins. Some varietal character make this a nice quaffer.

Benchmark Sonoma Cab at great price. Lovely smooth intense blackcurrant fruit supported by cocoa and spice, already fully ready to drink.

Sat, 09/29/18, $2 Tasting (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA) : N: Barnyrd / forest floor with cherries & pyrazines underneath? P: Med body; Very RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt met by a puckerish astringency which transition into a LONG finish with bitterswt choc & an occasional tanginess to the very, VERY fine tannins. deserves another 6-12 mos, then drinking for 3-4 yrs more. Another impressive effort from this reliable producer! My EXC-. [This vendor's $12.95 is as …
