Not my typical drink these days but this is very good. Over the top in every way: incredibly fruity, very juicy, high alcohol.

Very similar notes as last bottle tasted earlier this year. Deep fruit in the nose and flavor. Black cherries and raspberry in the nose with hints of licorice. Black cherries, plums and licorice in the flavor. Not real complex but very well balanced, medium to full bodied and a silky mouthfeel and long finish. Drinking very well now.

Obviously I tasted a different wine than many others because the 2010 Nemesis is still wonderful. Deep fruit in the nose and flavor. Black cherries and raspberry in the nose with hints of licorice. Black cherries, plums and licorice in the flavor. Not real complex but very well balanced, medium to full bodied and a silky mouthfeel and long finish. Drinking very well now and over the next year or two.

Deep garnet in color that is still so thick that it stains the glass. Complex plum with stewed red, purple and black fruit. Caramel, vanilla from oak. Smooth on palate with long finish. With time after opening, the sweetness of the fruit becomes much more evident. Reminds me of a Barossa Shiraz at times.

Needed 1.5-2 hours to open up in decanter. Still dark purple, but very rich nose. Great dark fruit present in the mid palate with a nice medium finish. Still a good and enjoyable wine.

Remarkable, with plenty of olive joined by the brambly fruit, showing much younger than 14 years and not a hint of the 15.8% alcohol.

Interesting blend. Could definitely tell it was a GSM, but could also tell it was syrah heavy. Paso syrah has a boldness that makes it unique, this one is no different. Thirty minutes of air opened it up nicely. At least five years left in it.

Big red fruit. Just the right amount of spice, pepper, earth. Drinking really well right now.

Nemesis always seems to be the weakest offering in the Linne Calodo line-up, especially when compared to Problem Child and Cherry Red. Stringent tannins really stood out. Did not enjoy.

A nose of dark fruit and minerals, dark black purple in color. A full bodied and bold red blend, with black berries, black raspberries, spice and minerals and a smooth long finish. Decant for a few hours, still allot of life left. www.winelx.com

I've been a Linne fan for years but this effort was disappointing as not much going on with this bottle. Perhaps it was a bad bottle but just didn't appeal to me.

Nice inky color. Great balance. The flavor is bold, yet the finish is smooth and refined. I am not a huge syrah aficionado, but this wine is very good effort, this much I can tell you.

The past few months I've been drinking through various 10+ year old biggerCalifornia wines such as this one, made in a style my palate has moved away from (though now as then I still drink a broad range of styles). Most have been pleasantly not bad. This one was the first I opened in the past several months that struck me as grotesquely over-extracted, but in fairness the worst of that blew off after about 45 minutes. At that point …

Gamey fruit and briars on the nose. Hard to identify what I get on the palate. Maybe a little caramelized sugar, but no real fruit. Too young?

This wine inspired a new term for me tonight. Ghost wine. Split the bottle over Italian dinner with my wife. But there had to be a third person there drinking it, b/c it just disappeared.

Decanted 11 hours prior to tasting. Either the bottle was flawed or in the throes of an undignified passing because the fruit was dried out and the acids were sour. It attempted to put up a good face upon entry, but its deception unraveled by mid-palate. Will try again tomorrow, but not much hope. A switch to LC's '10 Booker Vyd. saved the evening.

Sweet raspberry and red cherry; lighter feel to this, cooler vineyards showing through with a cool, freshness to it, with dry floral notes. Decent, but not a big fan of these 2 Linne's (the other being Sticks and Stones).

The last of a half case, and I am sad to see it go. Nicely savory nose, with many non-fruit aromas -- bacon/roasted meat, garrigue, lavendar, flowers, and wax candy intermingle with notes of wild berry and blackberry. Lots of action on the palate -- more notes of roasted meat and bacon, with a pure beam of raspberry underlaid by a mineral note and decent acidity and tannic structure. Got better and better with several hours in the decanter. Nice! …

I was a bit concerned based on the most recent CT note. Like that person, I have found that Central Coast wines of this age are often disjointed, unbalanced, devoid of fruit, hot, etc. This wine, however, was not any of those things. Truly a superb expression of New World Syrah, this had fruit in spades, but was backed up with solid tannins, good acidity, and was still full of youthful voluptuousness. I'd guess this wine has a year or …

these big fruity paso robles wines don’t age well. This has gone from racy to restrained. The friuit fades fast here. not gone completely, but not what I’d expect from linne calodo.

A beautiful wine. Youthful but smooth, rich yet graceful. An earthy undertone countered the dense black fruit notes, and the tannins have melted away to produce a stunning wine. A fine reason to hold wines and wait until they mature. This one is lovely to drink but has years of life ahead

Enjoyed over 2 nights - and was rocking through the last sip. Full nose of black and red fruit, smoked meat with an incense note. Palate is richly fruited, round and polished. There is plenty of freshness and undercut that keeps the wine lively across the palate. Fruit is big but no longer youthful - there is a measured restraint and evolution - without giving up the "big" Paso character. Long fruit and flower filled finish. Really like this wine …

P&P'ed. Holy cow is this wine SWEET. To the point of being cloying and very one dimensional. I guess this is what I dont like about a lot wines from this area. Going to leave on counter and hope for some restraint.
