Opened one hour in advance. Fragrant aromas of pear and lychee. Taut flavors of apricot, mango. Orange peel and petrol finish. Firm acid, mildly and pleasantly sweet, evolving flavors, great staying power. Unusual and distinctive. Outstanding value. Current CT drinking window ends in 2016. It may well last longer, maybe even a lot longer.

Slate and apricot on the nose. Lime and slate notes to start, followed by apple and apricot, finishing with a hint of orange, almond and stone. Strength of this wine is the complexity of its fruit and its overall richness. There is some sweetness, but it’s balanced by the richness and the acidity. The finish is of good length and based on the acidity, this should easily be able to go another three years or more.
