An impressive showing and very good QPR. Lighter body with aromas of cherry, floral notes, hint of earth; flavors of tart cherry, raspberry, and earth. A fine example of "less is more".

* Reasonably good Burg, with some character. On the heavier side, notes of dark fruits and forest floor. Good length and balance.

Perfectly nice wine, but nothing special.

Medium ruby. Never had a Burgundy like this. Dark cherry, brambly fruits with a earthy, mineral, black pepper and something that reminded me of mezcal (maybe smoke) undertones. Crisp acidity. Liked this a lot. Also tasted the Mercurey and the Maranges by Sarrazin. Similar style which is easily identifiable, fruit forward with oxidative notes. Mercurey had great structure and concentration while the Maranges was a more serious wine than the beaujo like Givry. All interesting but not sure I would …

God pinot noire fra Givry, min første fra appelasjonen. Lyse, søte frukt og bringebær, urter og lite hint av lakris. Saftig ned god struktur og bra syre, lett å like.
