Omaha Bay Vineyard Montepulciano

Slight aging on the edges, but a deep-red core. Powdery nose with herbs (rosemary), red-meat (lamb), rich cherry, rhubarb, blackcurrant, smokiness accompanied with tar. Palate similar with dark fruits (plum, bramble) rich roasted cherry, glace cherry, persimmon, charcoaled meat - an earthiness on the finish. Enjoyable but lacking in elegance now that fruit is fading. Drink up.

Quite a powerful nose, dark berry, herbs, leather and gun powder - slight vanilla - cabernet like. Palate of ripe cherry, red meat (lamb), mint, rosemary, white pepper and tar. Dry, but not too tannic. Finish lingers and brings back the cherry. Stunning.
