There's quality fruit here, for sure. But it is cloaked in oak, heat and spice. Alcohol reads 14.2% on the label but could be more. Oak is not overwhelming but clearly marks the wine with a buttery imprint. The fruit is intense; like the peel of old yellow apples, yellow plum and pineapple preserves that has been left for too long in the tin can. Texture is rich but balanced, with fine acidity.
