Nice and soft. No tannines left any more. Still fruity.

Decanted for aeration, enjoyed over 2 nights, both showing well. Pinot, as much as any grape, I think, can have a rather disparate nature about it - the nose can suggest one thing (ex funk) while the palate entirely another (silky, juicy fruits). I really enjoyed the nose on this, and while the color is a bit darker than I was expecting (ok, hoping for) it was not over-extracted or unnecessarily ripe. Aromas of mushrooms, forest floor, damp leaves, leather …

Deep garnet, opaque; black cherries, truffles, earth, barnyard; concentrated cherry, silky, medium-full body, good balance, good structure, ripe tannins, lingering finish. Deep colour, intensity and concentration. Like a cross between California and Burgundy. Just a tremendous Pinot for the price! Seemed better than the '04. Brought to Pow Wow's.

Raspberry, earthy spice, forest floor nose. Dark fruit flavours with balanced to fresh acid. Dry, spicy, rooty finish. 4/5 *Tasted at Torres' Salmos winery in the Priorat.

Popped and served, clear hue throughout. Beetroots, slight alcohol, red fruits and earth on the nose, albeit slightly muted. Medium body with sour cherries, oak in the mouth with round tannins. Slightly tart with moderate acidity and a slight bitter edge. This wine will need a bit of time to mellow out. Revisit in 6 months. EDIT: After a couple hours plus, the wine opened up nicely. The wine gained much weight and nose opened up very well. When this …

Purple in color with abundant syrup-like legs. Decanted for about one hour. Relatively light, but smooth mouth feel. Artificial cherries and earth tones are abundant on the nose. Cherries, earth, oak, subtle pepper, metals and a bit of sweetness on the tongue … coats the tongue with a bit of tannins on the finish. This tastes quite a bit like a solid Californian pinot. Quite enjoyable.

Popped and served. Light red in color. Showing classic Pinot varietal characteristics on the nose with concentrated beet roots, strawberries, and earth. Much the same in the mouth with moderate acidity and a slight bitterness on the back end. Tannins are round and finish moderately lengthy.

Slightly light ruby colour. The nose is discreet with some dark cherries and sweet oakiness and a hint of coffee. On the palate full and smooth, dark fruit and cherries, sweet mahoganylike oakiness, coffee,a hint of cocoa.Good balance.Very nice.It definitely reminds me of new world Pinot Noir from California, but there is some European old world elegance in it as well.Did not improve the next day.
