I didn't recoil. That's about the best positive descriptor I can give to this wine. Some kind of non-descript berry. Dark chocolate syrup. Vanillin.

Very rich flavor at a decent price, very bold. If you like Cabernet, (which I do), I would suggest this to someone who prefers a more complex Cabernet Sauvignon.
