Great stuff. 2014 Loire Cab Franc (and 2014 red Burg) is really having a moment right now in my experience.

Menthol and faint strawberry on the nose. On the palate, raspberry, black cherry, white pepper, and notes of earth and savory herbs, with light tannins and good acidity. This is remarkable mainly for being well balanced and for reaching only 11.5% alcohol - extraordinary given the popularity of ripeness and heavy extraction. Raised in amphora. Decanted. Now 2 h later. Initial aromas and taste were as if the cab franc was made in carbonic macerated style, with really lively, very fruity flavors with a streak of herbal green pepper. Now, aromas of beeswax, menthol, green leaves, green pepper, and dark berries. Palate has fruit overlayed with green leaves, green pepper and herbs followed by earth and more ripe black fruits and tannins. Finish has layers of flavors on palate with long finish. …
