I was not expecting much from this bottle. It was below average and unremarkable.

Thin, bitter, weak. Waste of cellar space.

Expressive nose displaying aromas of black currant, ripe dark plum, liquorice, violets and cedar. Balanced in the mouth with velvety tannins and a very decent juicy concentration. Medium+ finish. A wonderful value.

Has a decently deep aroma with dark fruit. There may also be a touch of alcohol in there. The flavor is brighter than I expected, decently fruity, and leaves behind tannins that stay for a longer finish. Has a deep dark purple color. Almost has a smoky note. Tasted at about 58�F.

A rich but structured wine, this shows dark fruits and a strong tannic core. There is fine acidity and a taut, mineral texture. Roger Voss
