Domaine Equifera Cabernet Franc Icewine

This is a mature icewine. Less overtly fruity, but not raisined or otherwise showing anything resembling over the hill. Nice stuff. Great balance.

While there is a hint of tawny color on top of the salmon red, this is still little changed from 4 years back. Not complex really, yet the savory olive flavors provide interest beyond sweet strawberry and raspberry characteristics. Should be worth tracking into the future, will it develop or just hold? Acidity and RS should help it along.

Another outstanding showing. High acid balances the sweetness. The olive tapenade and savory elements are prominent. The lip-smacking finish does not quit. This should be a long-lived wine. 93-95.

Slight raisin, lots of flowers and some herbs. Prefect balance for me, even with the 26% residual sugar. There's something savoury here as well, and a nice long finish. A bit of clove and nutmeg. Excellent wine. With a bit of air it's turned into strawberry and raspberry fields, complete with fresh leaves and earth. Sight caramelized sugar aromas and flavours.

A big hit at xmas dinner. Well balanced for a sticky, combo of dehydrated fruit and fresh acidity. Great finish, fruit forward.

Really taken aback by the acid, balance, taste profile, and especially the finish of this wine. The bouquet commands attention; it shows beautiful florals, ripe fruit, and olive tapanade...yep...I said it...olive tapanade! This elixir immerses the palate in textural luxury. The olive tapanade element on the bouquet also makes a prominent appearance. Great acid, perfect sweetness, rounded, complete!
