Carpe Vino!; 11/9/2014-11/15/2014 (Tuscany (Florence, Montalcino, Siena)) : For me this was the second best red of the night behind the Suolo. It started off a bit more ready than either of the others (probably because of the extra age). We poured it last although same decant process as all of the others. Nice blackberry flavors, earth, very soft. Tastes a bit youthful even (drinking window in CT of 2013 is too short), but don't see it getting much better …

This is really good! Rich, succulent, bright cab fruit, a bit of menthol with tannins that are still noticeable. This bottle tastes pretty young.

Drink immediately!!!! Had a fantastic nose - excellent and first sips were great. Unfortunaly peaked and died after only a few minutes. Shame and waste on this great wine.

Aged 18 months in new French barriques. Dark garnet colour with purple tinges to a violet rim. Aromas of vanilla, blackberries, raspberry, blueberry, and black licorice. Medim-bodied with black cherry, vanilla, oak, and pepper. Moderate finish, ~30s, with black cherry fruit.
