This is a crowd pleaser for a group that drinks wine occasionally. It is soft and is very balanced and quaffable. I found it lacking a wow factor but it didn't stop me from having several glasses. If felt like combination of a Cab mixed with about 30% Pinot. Cheers

Wow, wonderfully aromatic. Violets and fresh cut flowers. Dark red nearly black in the glass. Juicy, lively and fresh. Bright red cherry flavors. Tannins are beautifully integrated. Long finish. This is a lovely wine. Fantastic.

Wow, beautifully aromatic. Amazing freshness. Dark fresh red and black fruit flavors. Cola, dark cherry, and kirsch. Bright and lively. Finish is light but medium+ length. Some good years still ahead.

Soft floral aromas. Distant. Dark fruit flavors with predominant dark cherry fruit. Tannins are soft and the acidity offers good freshness to this 17 year old wine. Very nice!

Popped open one of my wife’s favorite wines for our anniversary. Same notes as December 2020. This is a lovely wine with great tannins, acidity, and dark cherry finish. I recommend decanting this wine at a minimum of an hour, perhaps an hour and a half. The finish was slightly tart but as the evening progressed it softened up.

Having with a sous vide grilled steak as we are in ‘shelter in place’ mode due to the corona virus. So let’s have a great bottle of wine!

Translucent plum hue. A extraordinary nose of musty cedar chest, black walnut, tobacco, and drying leather. Black currant, clove, lavender entangled with dried dark fruit, hazelnut, and fig. This is an astonishing wine that is ready, but willing to wait. Don’t tell Napa but this Sonoma jewel would rival their very best! 96 points.

Absolutely wonderful, fruit even, velvet finish, light tannin; this wine held up and likely could have stayed in the cellar for another year at least.

Allowed to breathe in glass 1 hour. Clear deep dark garnet color. Lovely bouquet of sweet blackberries, black cherries and their liqueurs, coconut, lavender, spicy oak, bourbon vanilla, turned soil. Similar on the palate, full body, ripe and generous, balanced, plush velvety mouthfeel, seamless, lingering finish. Outstanding Napa cab in a ripe, sweet, generously oaked style but nicely balanced and structured and not overly hot.

At BWC. Not a big Cali drinker, but like this producer's Cherryblock. Candied red berries, minerals, spice, hints of espresso. But plenty of acidity and smooth tannins. Impressive finish. 92+

Aroma: minty, blackberries, cocoa Palate: bell peppers, fruit compote, dusty, violet, bitter chocolate, rhubarb, licorice, raspberry. A favorite for me, but I liked it better in 2010 - smoother and fresher.

Decanted less than an hour, then consumed over the next 6. Light ruby red color. Soft fruit flavors & tannins. Not a lot of depth or extraction but perfectly enjoyable. Reminds me of a pinot. Not enough intensity for my tastes.

This is just a nice goto bottle. I have never had a bad cherryblock and it seems to go with just about everything. Not a massive, overpowering wine but rich and lush. With a nice core to it and weighty feel it pairs nicely with a nice medium rare filet. Great finish that I wished would last longer (~15 seconds).

Drank alongside Ducru. Quite a stark contrast, with rich cherries, oak, chocolate on nose. Rich fruit on palate, but balanced, with notes of cherries jubilee, smoke, spice.

Fill into neck. Capsule and cork in excellent condition. Allowed to breathe in bottle for 60 minutes, then decanted for 30 minutes, re-bottled and brought to dinner. Clear blood-garnet red. Mature bouquet of red plum, meat juice, pomegranate, green tobacco, cedar. Seamless, velvety, medium body, medium finish.

Fill into neck, perfect capsule and cork. Decanted 30 minutes before tasting. Clear deep dark garnet-blood red. Day #1: subdued bouquet of currants, cherries, forest floor, touch of cloves and coffee. Medium-full bodied, smooth, elegant, very nice. Day #2 under vacuum stopper: starting to fall apart, with notes of blood and rust but still quite good.

Sampled 2/8/11. Classic Cherryblock. Fruit forward, medium weight on the palate but rich in total depth and volume of flavors. Finish is not as long as you'd like but it is a very tasty wine.
