PnP. Color is opaque maroon with orange around the edges. Medium nose with a hint of caramel, mint and camphor. Black cherry and cola prominent on the palate with an earthy finish. Had a glass before dinner then enjoyed with steak and hash brown potatoes. Threw an impressive amount of sediment. Has some life left but don’t tarry. I’m impressed at age 25 and will definitely stop in here on my next Napa excursion.

Low neck fill. Deep garnet color in glass with slightly faded rims.Lovely bouquet. Wonderful soft black fruit on palate with low acidity and moderate tannins. Fine particles of sediment and a bit of slugde inside bottle. A fading flower so drink up!

Soft nose of blackberries, vanilla. A little faded. Mildly grapey, stemmy in the middle. Over the hill.

Vinturied into decant, consumed over a few hours, my last one out of a case, really good for a 22 yr old Napa wine, Fine tannis, silky smooth with a crisp oak integration. What a treat, salude my old friend! Drink now.

Wonderfully aged Napa cabernet. Cork was pristine and looked 2 years old, not almost 20. Nose opened up over a two hour decant with red berries , cedar, and herbs. Nice acidity, very smooth tannins, and a long finish. Perfect with steaks in the middle of Snowzilla 2016. I'm in no rush to open my last bottle.

Cork broke in half, and the lower half broke into many pieces. The color on its edges was starting to turn a little brown, but not overly so for a 16 year old wine. Its aroma did not appear defective, though it was non-descript. The initial taste was okay, but the mid-finish and finish was acidic and slightly sour. Tasted the same after 2 hours, and worse after 24 hours. My guess is it may have been damaged by heat …

Decanted and drank over two hours with a brilliant NY Steak. The wine was a bit sharp in the glass to begin with but smoothed out into a delicious full flavoured Napa cab. Terrific effort and well worth the wait.

Taste at Elysian. Nose shows some oxidation but its nice. Some nice spice on the nose as well. Classic aged California Cab. Palate is nice and medium bodied. Not too complex but shows interesting nuances from age. Touches of oak and a bit high on acid on the back end. Decent overall. I'd be happy for $30 for a 10+ year old.

A very minor cork taint on Day 1 had me reaching for another bottle, even though it was slight enough that it could have been overlooked. On Day 2, it grew into something overwhelming and this became drain cleaner. I wonder what happened at Judd in '99. Seems to be a high rate of cork taint based on other CT reviews.

Not what i expected from a 13 year old wine. Still rather stiff with no real defining character.

Seems to be right in the prime drinking window. Subtle...maybe to much so as an earlier reviewer alluded to. Medium bodied, with nice cedar notes on the palate. Medium length finish. Tannins fully integrated. Drink now.

Pretty good stuff here. I received this as a gift several years ago when we had a dinner party. I had marginal hopes and I thought it was surprisingly sweet and refined. I wouldn't put it up against a great wine but would be happy to buy this again with a "3" handle on the price.

Nose of blackberries, ink, hint of oak. Medium body, earthy, a bit tannic, long finish, but a bit diluted mouthfeel. (Pop n poured). definitely went well w/ steak and potatoes cooked i cream w/sauteed bacon and caramelized onions.. the fruit shies w/ food. it's good but lacking the WOW factor.

Absolutely stunning, drinking beautifully right now. Intoxicating nose of black currants, spice, cedar, and black cherry. Drinking beautifully right now with medium-bodied mouthfeel, and great elegance.

Not a bad bottle of wine, but nothing to write home about. Pretty basic Cali Cab. Nice enough fruit on the nose, nice mouthfeel. This si the first of 6 of the bottles I bought that weren't flawed, or downright corked.

I had this wine in 2005 (no notes but it promted me to buy another because I really liked it then). This wine was opened but not decanted 3 hours before serving. The color was still deep violet with no bricking. The nose was earthy but not much fruit. Still some tannins present on the finish. Overall not the complexity I would expect from a well-aged Cali-Cab. My wife liked it but she prefers more subtle expressions and I prefer …

TWC does Cal Cabs (Pat's) : Superb - with lots of blackberry flavors, combined with some pencil shavings, chocolate and even cherry. A smooth heavyweight wine for the long haul that is drinking well now.

These two weren't quite as evolved as the one that I drank the other night. A bit of primary fruit sweetness up front. Wait another year before opening another one of these, and give the magnum at least one more and maybe two more years.

Dense ruby, pink at edge. Perfect cork and fill. Shy nose of crème de cassis and spice. Great flavors - spice, black fruits, some vanilla. Not a lot of tannin in the finish - virtually none, actually. Oh, boy, this is nice. Ripe fruit, secondary fla
