Another Dee Vine German Pop Up with a Bonus 1971 J.J. Prum TBA (The Morris, San Francisco) : Half bottle. Full yellow. Herbs and lower pitched fruit. Medium weight, slight oiliness. Rich but not that sweet. Nice back snappiness but could be longer.

From 375ml. Decent balance, with a nice honeyed richness. Very similar to the bottle we tried a couple of weeks ago, it was a touch shy on acid and got somewhat flabby as it warmed. Still, it was a good match for orange chicken over rice.

From magnum. Good balance, although with mellower acids than I expected. Kumquats and spice, with a hint of vanilla pudding on the nose.

Full, rich, ripe, waxy. Not showing a crisp acidity, but a tasty sweet drink none the less.

Quite a slight nose. Very pure flavours. Excellent balance. Doesn't feel as sweet as the 2004 Spätlese. Very Good Indeed. £60 (shocking price!)
