I thoroughly enjoyed this deep dark red. It was just smooth enough to drink without food. I found it very well balanced, all around. Enjoyable nose, palate, and finish. I polished off the first night, by myself, over a long 6 hour period. It opened up very well, within the first hour. I wish I had another glass and a few more bottles for sure!

After 2nd night, this has softened up and become very drinkable/enjoyable. Very good QPR and will buy again at $11. 14% ABV

light nose, deep raspberry/blackberry; slight tannin in the mouth but soft and drinkable, a little acidic. I have a recent appreciation of monastrells from SE Spain and this does not disappoint but is also not my favorite. If anyone can suggest others, I am all ears.

Very smoky on the nose. Rich entry that seems a bit over ripe & pruny. Lots of grip in the lean, tannic, mocha laced finish. Needs food to shine.

pitch-black. nose: very fruity - multifruit jam, heavy, some lucretia. taste: alcohol, chokeberry, vanilia, hazel-nuts, long finish. Very overwhelming - good to drink during long winter nights.

Assorted Spanish Wines (SF Wine Trading Company) : Dark color. Syrupy blackberries. Woody base, much less shapely than most of the other wines because of lower acidity, but good, earthy finish. Another steal for the price.

Had with baby back ribs, corn, green beans and potato salad on a hot summer night. We were set up to eat outside and a rain storm drove us inside. The ribs had a very spicy rub and the wine cooled our lips with every drink. Young but with dark color. The smell was of spice with hints of flowers. We bought at the Oaks wine tasting and for the price a very solid wine for a spicy meal.

I feel like as the price goes up on this bottling, the quality goes down. It's like they are still trying to figure out what this bottling is going to be. Instead of the easy going, fun little fruit bomb this once was, it's now a little chalky, a little muddled, with the fruit vying for attention amongst the texture of this wine. Just not balanced. Maybe it needs a couple months, as this is obviously a very young wine. …

Fresh on palate. Really good QPR monastrell blend.
