An attractive, complex, and - for the Napa Valley, at least - very Cabernet Franc-driven wine, this offers appealing, savory aromas of ripe black fruits, green coffee beans, fresh tobacco leaf, violets, aged compost and exotic spice. Full bodied on the palate with medium to medium+ acidity, finely etched, though somewhat mouthcoating tannins, and an appealing mix of black cherry, espresso and earthy flavors.
