Malabaila di Canale Barbera d'Alba Mezzavilla

Developed nose with dark berries and oak plus a bit of vanilla. Fruity in mouth with lots of juicy dark berries, sweet-sour dark cherries. Finely textured with fresh, but not intense, acidity, velvety tannins and round body. All components well integrated. Very nice velvety Barbera. From around 70 years old vines, grown on 250 meters elevation. 16-18 months on barrel. The wine is very much the same lovely wine as when tasted on our visit to Malabaila in October 2019. …
