Spellbound Old Vine Zinfandel

Second bottle better but only marginally so. I really do not have much else to add. Meh.

I did not pay a lot for this, but I do not know if I would buy it again at the price ($11). Nothing inherently wrong except for a striking lack of character. I do not like my reds big and bold by any means, but something to latch on to would be nice. The wife liked it better than I did, but not really sure why. It's fine, but utterly unremarkable. Good enough for pizza.

Simple fruit, notes of blackberry and cassis.

pale color, spicy but not real fruity; not bad for the price, however.

Brilliant light ruby color. Sweet, red berry nose with spices and herbs. Strong acidic backbone. Somewhat vegetal on the palate. Moderately long finish.

Big nose, slender but succulent body. 90P

Nice quaffer but to simple for this price
