I've had this four or five times, and the regular Babich maybe eight times this vintage. I like them both , and they are pretty different. This seems like a regular, grapefruity kiwi sauv blanc on the nose. I has plenty of grapefuit on the palate along with tomato leaf, capsicum, herby notes and less tropical than the regular Babich. Apparently restaurant only. All estate fruit, a touch different in style. Sees a touch of oak, More subtle on the grapefruit is the idea. All from one vineyard - echelon? - in Marlborough. More capciscum on this one.

all estate fruit. Touch of oak, more white grapefruit on nose than the classic. focused palate, nothing too complex but good for the price.

Straits Wines - Babich Wine Tasting (Straits Wines @ Icon Village) : did not seem to have that much pength though, but great flavours of green apple, gooseberry, and peach - a little bit creamy, buttery and a hint of vanilla

By the glass at the BA lounge LHR , fresh bottle. Textbook and almost predictable ( not a bad thing) Sauvignon Blanc, grassy light asparagus , firm, devout of heavy handed winemaking or oak and pretty happy 88 wine . Nothing to dance to nothing to shout at.
